Is anyone thinking of joining either of these sessions with Maverix? The requirement is B/S boards, F/S 1's....as they'll be pushing us on for 3's + and F/S boards and side on hits.

If enough of us get together we may be able to ask for specific features to be put out for us but, only if there's a demand I guess.

On my hitlist it Bonking. So anyone else up for it?? Think it will be a super chilled session as the numbers are being kept low, so small groups and tons of 1 to 1 feedback.

Ooops forgot the links Embarassed

2nd of April

will they be teaching N-s-N or is that only for super advanced courses??

Post subject: RE: Advanced Freestyle Coaching
I think because of the danger element of N-s-N that most slopes have banned it being taught....like 9-14 olds.

N-s-S is Normal-Switch-Normal. It appears to be a new skill we are all working on. Bonking is tapped the shizzle out of anything interesting you can find.

Normal-Switch-Normal is one sweet manouv...but it's sooo hard to achieve, it's dangerous!!!

Great to hear that the first one is a Bonk Holiday as should free some more folk up to come along.

And yep yep Branny, haven't forgotten about the next day, day course!?! I'll be about for that if you're on it.

Be good to see you there Kat if you're up for getting your steeze out of your handbag.

in what context is in N-s-N done? on the flat? In the Air?

I really want to go to one of the Maverix Days, but am not sure my riding would stand up to it.

Do the maverix courses, there so awesome and you'll progress so much. Shouldnt matter if your a beginner to be honest as theyll teach you everything you need to get started. Ive been on 2 so far and got my 3rd booked and is worth it.

Agreed, as long as you are comfortable on your board you'll be fine, you'll not believe how quickly you progress. I can't rate Maverix highly enough.
You'll be rocking N-S-N in no time.

N-S-N is a bit of a headf**K to come to terms with, it's probably best to work on it on a really mellow slope first before trying to pull it on any features.

I suggest going to Snow Academy at MK and getting one of the guys there to demonstrate it for you.

That's how I first discovered that N-s-N is pretty much banned on most slopes. The park staff just point blank said no, they wouldn't teach it....they weren't even allowed to do it themselves!!! D.d.d.dangerous.

Of course I know you are correct! But I turn my back for one minute and the next thing she has two new sponsors! i think it is completely outrageous, but no matter what I do she is not prepared to stop hitting those slopes. I am at my wits end with the girl. She's 11 years old and thinks she is a pro! Did you know, (in a whisper) she even has her own website www.beckymenday.co.uk

Just smarten up my front 3s,

Start back 3s, although apparently it's not too bad if you know the theory...

I would like to try a tail bonk revert back 1... but happy to try anything bonk based as I haven't done a great deal.

All sounds like what J had in his mind for the more Advanced shiz. I'll send him a little ask about the bonks...but really could get them going anywhere. I'm hoping for a low box to work on switch 1's on and off.

Will update if J doesn't get to it first. Here is bonking

is this course still on? just went to book it and i cant find it on the maverix site Sad

Think it got cancelled due to no one booking on. If it's less then a couple of people then they are cancelled, which is fair enough. Email J via the site.

Also another good idea is to let J know you're interested even if you can't pay til nearer the time, at least that way he can figure out the numbers.

I am looking to get on one of these but am a complete begineer as far as freestyle goes. Do you need to be able to ride switch or will i be ok without to start with ???

Don't book on an advanced one but a normal one would be fine. i can't ride switch at all (though should be learning now) and it'll be fine for a while.
