Equipment and Media - burton board and what bindings... jonnyboyo - Dec 03, 2009 - 10:51 PM Post subject: burton board and what bindings...
hey guys..looking at an all-mountain freestyle board 1st one... fancy the 08/09 burton mayhem..mainly coz it seems to be the same board as 2010 but graphics are nicer imo. just checking tho, with burton boards do you need specific bindings or generally do most bindings fit with all boards??

if its an EST board then you have to get Burton EST bindings.
Most boards from other manufacturers come with a four hole configuration for attaching bindings to the board. Burton boards only have three holes. You can use Burton bindings on other makes of board as they supply a four hole disc that will fit for most other boards. I'm not sure whether other manufacturers do this in reverse for their bindings; ie supply three hole plates for attachings their bindings to a burton board.
I imagine they don't........it means that if you buy a Burton board you have to get Burton bindings too!!!!!
I might be wrong though
How much are you looking to spend as there are lots of other great boards out there?

was thinking around sort of 300 mark for board and wotever for some radical bindings maybe up to 160ish... but seen a deal at http://www.boardridersguide.com/product ... 512051.htm where they are doing the burton board with salomon code bindings total at £390. i mean they are prob good enough (help or reviews here) if not just a bit bland (plain black)! cheers for reply

You can use any Burton bindings with a Channel board, not just EST style. You should get a set of 2 hole discs with the board.
