Cheap advertising... Maybe this way they might find some punter with more money than sense.

It's not his website, people advertise websites in their sigs where you can get good products for cheap prices to help the other members of this site, and Richn I agree with you there, those bindings would be so heavy

They're only plated with gold rather than being made of solid gold. You can pretty much guarantee that the layer of gold will be extremely thin to save on production costs, therefore the weight addition will be minimal.
All in all there's probably less than a fiver's worth of actual gold in a product like this... Plus they look hideous.

Havent you guys heard? These bindings are £700 as they are coated in magic dust, allowing novice riders to bust massive 1080s on thier first attempt.

I'd better get some and then organise my video part for next year! Well probably three video parts actually; what with all the extra runs I'll get in whilst everyone else is strapping into their bindings.

you'd have to mentally void to use these flows!! Its really does take the "all the gear no idea" thing to a whole new level!!!

It'll be interesting to see how many decent/experienced riders acutally buy these. it's effectively jewellery for your feet.

They should really go all out. Maybe a diamond encrusted version? Maybe some heavy mr t style jewelry dangling off them?
Reminds me of someone i saw in courchevel with ferrari skis and wearing a thick heavy fur coat and hat.

Good point, maybe the thread should of said
Have you seen these bindings, seriously would any shop ever buy into these !
If they were about 200 and from Union or Ride or another brand that makes good bindings I would get a set to sit on my desk or hang from my rear view mirror or something daft like that but at 700 quid, someones having a laugh

They are bliiiiiiiiiiing.
I'd order a pair, but they're so damn sexy, I've had to blind myself to preserve the image in my head forever, knowing that they're the last things I'd ever see, and as such, can no longer Snowboard.
I'm taking up blading instead!

Real 24 Carat gold PLATED. Just like the watches you can buy on Torrevieja beach.
Personally, the shame of being seen riding Flows would be enough.

We weren't slagging off the product, we just wanted to judge the reaction was to them them. Pretty much what we thought!!

There may well be someone on here looking at them and thinking hmm i want them they rock, problem is who would actually admit to that in public?
700 quid Gold bindings in a recession = epic fail

They're showing as "in stock" on your site... does that mean you have actually got some!!?

Some people don't have any shame, if you buy them that is.

Post subject: RE: Re: RE: Re: £700 flow bindings - WTF??
We have a pair in stock, but they are on sale or return from flow....the only people in the country that have actually brought them in are harrods i think, and Im sure they'll sell them all by the end of the season too. To be quite honest with you, they are really nice! Im sure insurance on a pair for the season is gonna cost you more than the trip itself though!
richn - Nov 04, 2009 - 09:55 AM
Post subject: RE: Re: RE: Re: £700 flow bindings - WTF??
Do you get a carry case for each binding? Thats the real deal breaker
paulmc - Nov 04, 2009 - 10:54 AM

they come in that aluminium/foam carry case thing as pictured, great present!

Kinda makes me wonder what sort of snowboards Harrods will be selling to go with them - maybe a Prada UltraBling, with genuine mink fur topsheet and solid gold edges (just so they don't rust)... or even a Burton Method

Assume is peple like Posh who parades on Corcheval with their kit and never steps on real snow. (In the case of Posh she prob will break in half if she goes down a slope)

The same people who buy Gucci snow goggles probably.
Or buy Ski wear made of things like leather and suede.
Maybe one of these outfits:
But seriously.
Only place I can see these being is maybe as a display item in a shop or something.
But even then, would be more interesting displayed if the while thing was gold.
