Been keeping my eye on the whitelines website for all the trailers, 'let's go get lost' does appear to be standing out from the crowd at the mo!

I'm organising the South African Premiere of Absinthes Neverland, which should be sick
bit peeved that the new variety pack flick has no download this year and import is stoooopid expensive, got Recession Proof download already which is rad...
Homies 2 is gonna rip, onelove is doing the UK premiere on the 6th November I think with Nico Droz and the Advita team coming over
Videograss is gonna be awesome, and the free stepchild movie out on 9.9.9 as well should be wild... lots and lots..can never get enough shred flicks

on the free/cheap downloads front
check out www.dinosnow.com for this years release "Never Gonna Get It" less that £2 for the download and it's well worth it (you can also get there movie "shots & goggles" for free on the site)
and also magichair productions have done a great job with they're latest release bits & pieces which is only $2 for the download
http://magichairproductions.com/2009/08 ... -download/
i love the big budget movies, but some of the DIY crews are really pushing out some quality flicks.

Well i bet the Burton film will have some great riding in it....but i also bet it will have a slightly elitist undertone and they will keep mentioning that they have the best team in the world (in their own opinion) and the best boards in the world(also in their own opinion)
and maybe even some subliminal messaging to make us all go out and but there over priced kit!!
N.B The lawyers at burton would like me to point out that they do not use subliminal messaging but that they do have the best riders in the world.

2 million on a movie, either there expecting a lot of DVD sales or they charge way too much for their kit ?
HOMMIES 2, Nico Droz and the ADVITA team will be at CHILL FACTOR E on the 06th November to premeir it, will also do a demo and build a park for everyone to ride with them, oh and the DVD will be free on WHITELINES November issue.
Im also looking forward to seeing the new pirate movie and the new white space flick I keep seeing the teaser for on facebook,

and variety pack, not bad has been released as a download (which they weren't going to do) $5.99 but it is probably as good a movie as you will see this season from an indy http://www.varietyinyourlife.com/ is the link
magic chairs bits and pieces is $2.99 but last years movie No Lies|just Fibs is free and you can get it here http://magichairproductions.com/no-lies-just-fibs/

Watched Neverland last night. Great movie, some solid sections, travis' section was funny, he came in riding a white horse in white jacket, more bails in his section than the whole TITA. DCP had a good section too.
Good balance between backcounty and street. It seemed like alot of it was shot in japan and Europe with North America not have the best of years.

Know what you mean about Neverland, JP's section and Brisse building gap was pretty sick, and i Travis Rice goes super big, but rest was same old 5, 7, cork this cork that powder kicker that every DVD has,
Also got chance to flick through COOL STORY today, Pat Milberys section is sweet, but was gutted Scott Stevens section was pretty short.
Gona watch videograss tomorow so will post up on that one aswell.

I preferred chamberlains. Yeah it was similar, but everything was upped from his last part on better spots.
sextons was good, but his child support part is still my favourite. He some backcountry in that too (although not in such deep snow). I love how he can spin back 3 onto handrails, but theres never a shot of him spinning backside of a jump too.

Ive watched the Burton movie, Hard to Earn and Forum's new flick over the last few days,
And got to say the Burton movie is pretty sick, and im not a big Burton fan, but Jeremy Jones is the man ! and the end sequence on the massive B is really good.
Hard to earn is cool aswell nice to see Travis Kennedy in the 9 team, and Marco's got a full section, theyve still not made a flick to rival State of mind, and probably not as good as familia but still worth watching.
But I though the forum flick was a bit dissappointing, Forum used to be pretty edgy and some progressive jib stuff but this was more like a Burton film, but thats just my opinion.

When it comes to snowboarding films, the one that came with last months Whitelines - th Absinthe behind the scenes film - has actually annoyed me. I don't know who else saw it, but no one actually seemed to enjoy the process too much. Now I know when you do something like that, it's bound to be more business than anything else, but no one seemed to be enjoying themselves, apart from Nicolas Muller. Wolle Nyvelt seemed moody the whole way through, and I lost a lot of respect for JP Solberg cos he just came across as a whiny git!
davidar - Oct 19, 2009 - 09:36 AM
Post subject:
Wolle just wants to get it done and not have a camera shoved in his face first thing in the morning -
The flipside stuff shows what a pain in the arse it is to make a 120 second video part.
Even on a week long holiday things can get fractious with my mates -imagine that over the whole season coupled with loads of travel and the stress of trying to find the rights shots.
One of the most interesting bits was seeing hostenyk's views on contests - coupled with KP skipping the X-trail (which he had a damn good chance of wining) to go on a backcountry trip that was disastrous resulting in no shots.

Flipside.
Apparantly it was available on iTunes in episodes, but it must just be the US iTunes, because I couldn't find it. It really enjoyed it too.
I also thought it was quite funny how Romain has changed (or perhaps not) that they always had this image of him being the crazy wild man in his early Uninc days. Yet he is now settled down and even has a daughter... perhaps this is why Burton dropped him! heh
What's with Wolle's eyes as well?
The black circles he has around them are ridiciolous... looks like he as been on some kind of constant major bender.

Just finished watching black winter. I think It's the best I've seen so far this season out of electro, not bad, homies 2, forum forever and stick em up.
Horgmo's section was sick! there's another run through the park like his section from aesthetica. I think DC have one of the best teams around at the moment.

I watched Black Winter and Torstein Horgmo's part had the worst music I have ever heard on a snowboard film, it was that bad I had to fast forward through his section. The rest of it was ok, not amazing.
wow you thought it was that bad? and you put videograss at the top of your list? are we watching the same movies here or is your taste really that bad
We all have different tastes. I just really hated the music, and that's a big deal on an opening section. Maybe I'll have to watch it again on mute
. As I said, the rest of it was ok in my opinion.
I wouldn't say Videograss is at the top of my list but I enjoyed it because it was a lot of fun, again this is my opinion.

So i just watched the new Think Thank movie - Cool Story
and i loved it,actually have watched it about 5 times in the last week, really liked the music in it for starters, also i'm not much of a jib guy but thought alot of the riding was very progessive and alot of taught went into some of the ''features'' they were hiting. Also none of them kids annoyed me in anyway which is a 1st.Well apart from the kid at the end who is so honest and tells the camera ''i sold product to get here'' F**khead
Also saw Neverland and that of course is SICK,but cool story is cooler!

I watched Cool Story last night and agree, it is very good. Mark Thompson's section is a stand out. The Think Thank guys are just amazing at making the most of what features they find in a totally creative way. Who needs helicopters?
