Hey up Peeps!!

I'm thinking about buying some protective shorts but not really sure what to go for... I know there are some good companies out there such as Pro-tec and Red but having suffered a really bad injury last year I want to make the right choice as I'm starting to get my courage back again in hitting the kickers so, any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I love my Forcefield shorts. Comfy and light and have taken the pain out of my spazziest of crashes. Laughing

I was naughty, tried in on a shop and then bought online Embarassed - these mommas aint cheap. But compared to the other brands i tried on they were worth the extra dollar for the comfort factor.

got a pair of burton red ones from few years ago they're more like the dianese ones like a mesh with soft foam padding and hard shell padding too. i think the current burton ones are more like a boardshort !! have to say mine have been brilliant all the paddings removable and the short themselves is fully washable and has more than saved me on a number of times

dianese all the way, i've been rocking mine since i started boarding and have never been dissapointed

also reccomeneded them to my mates and chalet guests last season and at 90 euros a go everyone who bought a pair says their worth every penny especially for beginners or people hitting the park/learning to jump

I def agree about trying on everything you can before spending as with anything comfort is paramount as you'll not want to go out without them!!

Good luck

Try to find one with a very large coccix hard protection as it is the more important. If they are too small, they may move and not protect well enough.

On my first ever snowboarding lesson I was wearing impact shorts with soft padding over the coccyx. I fell on my butt and then couldnt sit down without yelping and leaping 10ft in the air for about a fortnight! After that I bought some dainese shorts with hard shell padding over the coccyx and I have fallen on my arse many times since without hurting myself. I would definitley recommend them

Hi there everyone.

I was undecided which one to buy between Dainese Modular Impact Short and Forcefield Active Short - PRO Armour .
But it will apparently be an obliged choice, as Dainese Modular Impact Short (the one with plastic pads everyone has mentioned in here) is available only in XS and XL!!! What a shame.

Where did all of you buy the Dainese with plastic pads?
