Just booked my 8yr old niece her first snowboarding lesson at MK.
She can't wait !
Has anyone else taken their kids/nieces/nephews to have lessons ?
How did they get on ? Is it too young ?
Any tips, would be much appreciated.

I used to take my ex's son to the kids coaching sessions on Sunday morning and they were definitely worthwhile thinking about once your niece has passed her lessons. The instructors worked on more of an "informal advice" basis than your typical instruction / lesson format and Dan seemed to get a lot out of it.
If she's planning on sticking with it then impact shorts are a very good idea while learning, and maybe wristguards / kneepads are worth thinking about - it's all down to whether you think it's worth buying them and is she going to stick it out (kids, eh?)

Cheers Sartori, she can whack her skateboard pads on, i think that'll do the job for the first few lessons.
She's gonna be a nightmare for the next few weeks till her lesson.

I'm heading down there this Sunday night, taking my nephews for a sesh before they head off to Val T next week, then my nieces first lesson is on Sat April 5th, 5 o'clock, is it usually busy that time on a Saturday ? I might nip on for a quick hour.
Then i'm off to Morzine, 11th April for 4 days, just need to book my flights today.
Anyone fancy it ?

Took my eldest boy for a lesson at MK two weeks ago and taking him back on the 6th for another go at level 1. He's not the most co-ordinated of lads but they took care of him and he enjoyed it (most important thing). They are good enough to him for me to want to give him a good few more lessons
As for busy, last time I went they only had one lift open so whilst the slope itself was fairly quiet I didn't really get that many runs in - its worth checking before you pay yer cash (would expect its fixed by now mind you). May be as well saving the dosh and watching the kidlet instead.
