Post subject: TK MAXX Forum snowboards?
i was dragged into my local TK and spotted a snowboard, so went to check it out, plain on front, turned it around, and had big forum logo, no other marking, looked like a sample around a 148-150, priced at £50 ? I think it might be street dweller? should i go back and pick it up???

yeh man, i clocked them today!

There was a forum board and sum other board, nver herd of the manufacturer...
the forum board had no metal edges on it, the instruction manual said sumthing like
"this board had no metal edges, therefore this makes it difficult or even impossible
to ride on compacted, soft, icey snow."
I just LOL-ED!

They had one in the tkmaxx in aberdeen a few weeks back, sure I mentioned it on here, might have forgotten to though! I wasn't sure what to make of it, but I think it could be a good buy if you're well in to your rails.

yeah, the streetdwelleer was designed for street rails and that's about all it's good for, you'll stuggle to turn on it even to shed speed...not bad for £50 if you're up for some street sessions and don't want to trash your proper board, i think they used to retail about £150..........

however you will of course be damned to hell for buying from TKMAXX LOL!!! Wink

Actually, not many stores have them in at all....I know because I watched Lala ring a shedload of places until she found that Tam and Nottingham had one each...

10 guesses what we spent Friday doing Laughing

Oh, and if anyones after one there is one left in Tam buts it's not in great condition. The one from Nottingham is being tail pressed on the carpet as I write this Very Happy

That is their beauty my dear. They are flexi little mofo's. The reason they are so plain is they come with a stencil kit so you spray your own colour and designs on the top sheet, come with stencils to do the job. They are edgeless so you can ride rails without catching your edge. I'm really impressed with the dweller. Has also been suggested I could take it out for riding sand dunes. I am liking this possibility for summer hols.

I nicked the one that was in the Nottingham branch. It was in perfect condition with the stencil pack attached. There's another in the Tamworth branch but it's a bit battered- nothing major just some surface scratches, no stencil kit though. Anyone wanting it would ask for the price to be reduced.

TK Maxx in Kew Retail Park (near Richmond upon Thames) had 2 Street Dwellers in stock this morning, both in cellophane with stencil kit.

Tkmaxx is a shop which sells clothes and homeware from past seasons at discounted prices. It also sells "seconds", clothes which may have small defects.
The Forum board was about 148, if not smaller.

remember this is a rail board and not something for all mountain or even park shredding

i would never usually go below a 159 for freestyle or 163 for mountain, but for rail boards a 149-153 is fine, your not trying to turn much or carve, it's all about short run ins and wall grinds, rail slides and jibs Cool
