is it possible to take your snowboard on a trampoline? has anyone ever tried it?
ive heard that you need to tape your edges to stop it ripping the trampoline, but im also worried about my board!!
any chance that the board will break?
thanks

haha I'm guessing you could have a try on a trampoline, maybe have a wide stance, because if you had your weight in the middle there'd be alot of pressure in a relatively small area, if ya have ya feet wide then the ends wouldn't be wanting to fold in. But then what do i know Smile yeh tape or detune the edges too. I guess your a bit board after Crimbo? could try it wasted too, could be interesting albeit riddled with danger from fence posts, extra cars in the drive or bird tables in the garden.

We use a skate deck and the sons old board ,not both at the same time obveously. we did tape the edges as it costs more to replace the center thing than to get a hole new one trampoline.

we ill-eagleboarders use a snowboard on a trampoline just put 15mm pipe lagging round the edge and it is fine.

you can use skate decks and bungie cords to strap it to your feet but they can come off easly

my mate used to have a trampoline and we used an only scrub mountain board deck with the big fat foot straps on it and just put tape over the bolts where they stick through the bottom

spose. Anyway, the duct tape bindings, I made some this afternoon, they even had cap straps, but you need some form of heelcup.

HaHa, i seen them with my mates... I asked this guy who worked there and he didn't have a clue what it was, but if he were to guess he said it might be a surf board Laughing !!
I thought it was a plastic mountain board if anything... it was pathetic!!

I saw some guy with a skateboard deck tapped to his feet on a trampo, in either standing sideways or futerproof....

when i was younger, i used to tie a dressing gown coard around the middle of the board, and hold onto the longest bit with my hand, and then pile up a load of mattresses.. proper ghetto ! haha

anyways, we found that the advantage of this was that u could still pull off some spins with the board..
...but thats got nothing to do with snowboarding really...

some duct tape should do the job of strapping your feet to a skateboard though..
i would use a nowboard.. but knowing me, it would end with tears/broken bones/broken trampoline...
BASICALLY, stuff will break =]

you can just wire a pair of bindings to a skate deck, it is easier than using a snowboard on a tramp.

we have a 14ft trampoline in the garden (normally but not right this moment as we're planning work on the garden) All the kids here back flip, front flip and pretty much anything you can imagine!

I saw up in Avoriaz ski & board demo day last year a special trampoline board. looked more like a wake board made of tubing. Looked good too, the same dimensions of a snowboard (so practicing grabs will be accurate), but with the alu tubing the tramp won't be damaged... It had proper snowboard bindings too. I'm looking to buy a trampoline for my chalet soon, so am looking into getting some sort of tramp board... If anyone knows of these trampoline boards, give me a holler...

have u checked out bounce board ?
http://www.trampledunderfoot.co.uk/store/customer/product.php?productid=16329

Goes without staying really but I am sure other ppl sell em too and also check ebay for em

Get some cheap bindings off ebay and bolt them to a skate deck, i have an enclosure so backflips on a snow board usually leave me hanging upside down!

I just drilled through an old cheapy sk8 deck and threaded through some bungee cord...nice and tight to grip on your shoes.

then bounce like a loony!!

Not if your doing flips, the board will just break off and could hit a window

Yeah either go with the skate board idea or go into sport & soccer and get one of thier "snowboards" (just saying that has left a bad taste in my mouth!). They have little bindings and theyre smaller than a sowboard cos theyre made for kids (i.e. chavs to throw at old people) and their made of plastic, thyre like a tenner as well i use mine on my trampoline all the time!
Have fun Smile

I couldn't believe it when I saw this post - a rush of memories just came back to me!! Snowboard on a trampoline is just sooooo good. I have a trampline in the garden for my daughter............I'm am out there tonight with a duct taped board for sure. A bunch of us used to rent some proper trampolines in a sports center years ago, they were expecting a load of athlete types to turn up & we rolled up in a fkd up van with snowboards covered in tape............they're going, what the hell is this!

Anyway, this post made me smile so I just wanted to add my bit. Cheers, you just inspired an old snowboarder!!!

I dunno if this is such a good idea, I managed to snap a skateboard doing this (it wasn't even attached to my feet) I had a go with my snowboard but when I put one foot on it bent so much and I'm scarred of snapping it
