SCUK and Website - If you have questions about your Membership pack ask Jess

Post subject: If you have questions about your Membership pack ask Jess
If anybody has any questions about their membership pack, the best person to ask is Jess Prior in the office on info@snowboardclub.co.uk

Jess is the person who puts them all together and ships them from Brighton, whereas I'm stuck in the mecca of Hertfordshire most of my time, so have no idea whether stuff is in stock, out of stock, late, processed...

She'll also gladly receive any praise of quick processing and how good the pack is Smile

Note, Jess doesn't work full time in the office, so you may have to wait a few days for a reply.

Just to add, The Whitelines Magazine is not sent along with the membership pack, it comes form Whitelines directly. You will receive the magazine when the next issue comes out.

Oh yeah, Matt left a few months back to do a season and more photography, so we have the rest of the office and some temps covering. Still email info@ for any membership pack issues though as they're done in the Brighton office, not in Geek HQ, Herts.

Last week was The Brits means there was no one in the office, also everything a couple of weeks before is really hetic getting stuff sorted for the birts.
so there will be a bit of a back log on membership packs, i think stu sorts the membership packs now as matt is off round the world.

I emailed Pat earlier today, but not heard back yet. Everybody is back in the office as of today and I understand the outstanding memberships are being processed tomorrow.

I don't know which list you'll end up on as it depends on when your pack is processed, not when you signed up. Email info@... as they retain all the lists sent to Whitelines.

I'm keen to renew and support the club for another year but it looks like the pack is the same as last year (on the renewal page at least). Do I get a choice of DVD - I got Optimistic last year?

EDIT: Ah, after the facelift the homepage shows a better list of gifts and I've renewed and bought a copy of WSG for good measure. Thanks

well I'm not that happy - despite the pack arriving quickly

two things are missing, one being the discount voucher for TSA. I am going on a trip 23/12 and wanted to buy my kit this weekend. Hopefully Jess will be able to send it separately and in time.

Also missing is the chill factore discount

Hey dude - I'm not totally sure how the discounts work, as both the TSA and chill factor e discounts have started up since I last renewed, but if you look on the discounts page it says for both of them that you just have to show them the card when you make the purchase / visit the slope.

Just look at the "Your SCUK" section at the top of the page, click on the discount section and it should give details for you.

Post subject: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: If you have questions about your Members
yeah i was actually going to say, the slope discount is from your membership card, the Tsa one is actually a paper voucher though. Maybe they forgot or ran out at the time yours was sent out.

Post subject: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: If you have questions about your Members
I have had an email from Stu who works with Jess. He's been very honest about the situation. Apparently he was helping Jess out by sending the packs and forgot to add the TSA voucher to my pack. He's going to put it in today's post so I should have it time for a shopping spree at the weekend. (thanks again Stu if you're reading this)

^^^ cheers for the info about the chill factore discount being linked to the membership card.

Right....e-mailed and posted on here multiple times....no response from either. No membership pack received and no explanation given. Not a happy customer...is this the way you treat all your members?

Just wondering how long it takes to process a membership pack.
I have emailed Jess, and i know she doesnt work in the office full time. But 6 days and no reply to email and 8 days and "not yet" still appearing next to processed.
Any clues?

Post subject: RE: Re: RE: If you have questions about your Membership pack
I am having a similar problem. I e-mailed on the 4th December and last night and have not received a reply to either message. Fair enough, one day is not long but over two weeks? I don't think it's good enough.
I am reluctant to use the info@ anymore. It seems a shame there are so many issues with communication here, SCUK is a great idea but I'm not overly impressed so far.

In the meantime, maybe someone else can answer my question about the TSA discount.
Is it purely a one-off voucher for equipment or an ongoing discount at the store? The guys in Covent Garden seemed to think it was an ongoing thing but because I haven't received my card yet I obviously couldn't get my discount anyway but that contradicts what it says on this site.
It would be great if someone can clear this up for me.

Thanks.
nickmotture - Dec 17, 2009 - 05:55 PM
Post subject: RE: Re: RE: If you have questions about your Membership pack
Its a one off voucher, thats all that TSA are offering SCUK members so far. It's only one person answering all queries and SCUK has tens of thousands of members. Its worth sending another email as its easy for one to go missing, especially with the thousand they receive.
SnowPixi - Dec 17, 2009 - 07:11 PM
Post subject: RE: Re: RE: If you have questions about your Membership pack
Thanks for clearing that up.
dunx - Dec 17, 2009 - 07:57 PM
Post subject: RE: Re: RE: If you have questions about your Membership pack
No, we should be better at getting back to people.

The forum is always good for general stuff like the TSA questions, but for specifics info@ is best. Lots of it seems to go straight to spam, including anything at all that I send, so make sure it's a sensible email subject. We do seem to get a lot with no title and that doesn't help when spotting the legit emails from the spam.

Honestly SnowPixi, I think you've just been really unlucky! SCUK looked after me a treat, I signed up the day before they special offered the old membership pack with all the freebies @ 1/2 price and they hooked me up, everything went pretty smooth couldn't rate it highly enough!

Victoria, I've checked all the deleted items and can't find your email on the 4th, but did notice the latest one so not sure why that would come through and not the other?. Also noticed that Jess responded to your email dated "Thu 17/12/2009 01:30" today at 8pm.

Also for everyone's reference the info@ email gets checked every other day by Jess and I check it inbetween sometimes. All enquiries are responded to within 48 hours approx, so if you haven't heard anything back its probably because we didnt get it for some reason?

Peter, I've just gone through the last 30 days of emails and haven't seen one from you. I can assure you we respond to all emails and apologies if you don't have the correct membership card. Please drop another email to info@snowboardclub.co.uk and we'll sort this out straight away.

We process memberships at least once a week and you will receive an email when the card is on the way. We post them 1st class so it should be approx 2 days under normal postage routines.

If you don't receive it within a week then drop an email to info@snowboardclub.co.uk

Can anyone confirm what the membership pack includes these days? In the terms and conditions page before I sign up it says:

"The membership pack will contain the gifts and sale items that you selected when you made your membership application"

However when I go to sign up I don't see anything there to select other than the discounts and Whitelines mag (which I get alreready so no point wasting you guys time by asking you to send another).

Might be that there are none anymore, just want to check as I'm not convinced its not coming up as a resu;lt of my crappy browser and PC. Smile

If anyone could confirm that would be great

If anyone is having problems with the TSA voucher, it is only a one off 10% discount, I used me last monday as it was due to run out. It was coming up void, but the voucher was still instore. They said that the shop had changed all its codes, so just put the 10% in manually. So it shouldnt really be a problem for them. Also i didnt realise they changed the membership pack, ma pal signed up the other day and was wanting a t-shirt but there now not in it. So i guess hel just have to no have one.

You can access most discount codes immediately by going to the discounts section of the SCUK site, the TSA voucher arrives through the post.

All online discounts are available as soon as you join up. When you receive your membership through the post you get a letter welcoming you to the club, a membership card, some scuk stickers and a TSA voucher which is valid for 12 months when submitted with a valid SCUK membership card.
